In 2016 my husband and I purchased an 1870s’ stone-built former flour mill in the historic village of Rylstone, near Mudgee.
In a previous life, the ground floor housed a much loved Greek café, called Carlton Café, and a variety of retail shops over the years. Inspired by the creative efforts of the many artisans in the Blue Mountains and Central West of NSW, we have hopefully created a unique boutique-style experience.
We are keen to promote a ‘slow homewares movement’, quality pieces that last. The stock has been handpicked to showcase an eclectic and beautiful range of quality pieces from ethical and eco-friendly sources. The list keeps growing! We intend to expand into clothing and jewelry all from ethical sources. This really is my 'heart' project.
Why Sisters Bazaar? Many of the artisans we support are women or are supporting women and their families. I hope our shop also gives you the feel of a Bazaar, you just never know what treasure you may unearth.
